Set aside 6 November 2024 and add it to your diary - join us for our second Private Fostering Awareness Day!
A child who is cared for by someone who is not a close relative for more than 28 days is living in a private fostering arrangement. All local authorities have a responsibility to raise awareness of private fostering in their area. Following the success of our Private Fostering Awareness Day in 2023, we are hosting another awareness day! More details to follow.
Last year we held a breakfast briefing as an introduction to private fostering, and facilitated a lunch and learn session for members who wanted a more in depth exploration of private fostering. We also shared resources for your teams that included posters, guides and social media assets.
